D is for Dogs!

Everyone loves dogs right!? Ok, so not everyone. But dogs (and animals in general) play a huge part in my life. With great sadness I am about to leave my job which involves caring for around 20 dogs every day. I have learned so much about their behaviour in the few months I have had this role and I know it is all great experience that will help me in my future career.

Below is a selection of some of the doggie items I have made in the past few years. Enjoy!

A pillow case, made many many years ago for a school textiles project, complete with detachable velcrow bone!

A Mother's Day card for my lovely mum, who loves Scottie dogs (and passed that love onto me).

Felt Scottie dogs, Christmas gifts for my mum and granny.

Felt Rottweiler, a birthday gift for a friend.

My most recent creation - a little felt wire haired fox terrier! I made use of merino wool tops and a new technique to create this little cutie! I'm really pleased with the result and now have a way in which I can put unique markings on my creations. This will allow me to more accurately recreate specific markings and looks way more realistic than the painted technique I used for the rottie.

Thanks for visiting! Licks and kisses from my own little black bundle of fun:
